It kinds depends on the specific check. It may auto-clear for some, or you may need to delete the instance, or perhaps just disable the alert/check itself.
When you say the cert has been removed, that exactly do you mean? For example if the check was the HTTPS datasource, did you remove the cert and put in a self-signed on the server? Or did you remove the port 443 binding completely from the server?
